Banco Mercantil is a Caracas-based bank. The bank serves Venezuelan society since 1917. Banco Mercantil offers a range of banking products and services.

The bank provides savings, demand, restricted, and rights and certificates of participation in investment securities, and time deposits, interest-bearing checking accounts. Banco Mercantil also provides loans, credit cards, foreign trade services, factoring and discounts, and financial lease contracts.

Banco Mercantil owned 321 agencies, 313 of them established in Venezuela, as of 2007.
Besides in Venezuela, Banco Mercantil also has operations in Mexico, Brazil, the United States, Guatemala, Colombia, El Salvador, Peru, and other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
